Get Schlage LiNK System Home Automation App For Your Android Phone

Owners of Schlage home automation and security system can now access and manage the Schlage system away from home.  Using your Android phone you can monitor and control Z-ware enabled locks, thermostats, lights and other devices such as Schlage security cameras. Now owners of Android phones will be able to receive text messages when the kids get home from school. The kits are available from Amazon.com, homeDepot.com and other home department stores online.

With the release of this latest app Schlage now covers the majority of the smart mobile phone market. From today owners of iPhone, BlackBerry and Google Android base phones now have more control and flexible access to their connected devices at home and away from it. From any of these three phones you can monitor live camera feeds on your phone and reduce heating bills by adjusting your home temperature.

“Owners of Smartphone’s based on Google’s Android platform (fastest growing phone platform in the U.S.) will now be able to enjoy the benefits of remote home management through the affordable Schlage LiNK System,” said Dwight Gibson, vice president and general manager, Connected Home Solutions for Ingersoll Rand, Schlage parent company.

The basic Schlage LiNK Starter Kit includes a wireless keypad lock or deadbolt, a remote control lighting module and everything needed to setup a wireless Z-Wave network at home.  A single Schlage LiNK system will support an unlimited number of IP network cameras and up to 232 Z-Wave enabled devices, all of which would be covered under one subscription fee ($8.99) per month. The Schlage LiNK System Home Automation App can be download from the Android Market store.
