Paradox And NEC Europe Sign Reseller Agreement

Paradox and NEC Europe further tighten their partnership by signing a reseller agreement for Paradox Engineering’s PE.AMI Smart City solution.  To support utilities upgrading their grid infrastructure NEC will offer the PE.AMI along with NEC’s Information and Communication technologies and energy solutions.  As part of the agreement both companies will work together on joint promotion activities, trade shows, end user and customers’ seminars.

The Paradox smart city solution has already been deployed in San Francisco and Paris. Currently both companies are working together on projects in Italy and other parts of Europe. The Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) architecture let utilities to automate and allow for two-way communication between the utility company and smart meters in homes and businesses.

PE.AMI has been built on the latest in wireless (6LoWPAN) and IP communication (IPv6). It is the first integrated sub-GHz ultra-low wireless solution on a full mess multi-application NarrowBand/BroadBand platform, offering remote management, data monitoring and other key features.

NEC will lead the sales with technical support from Paradox. Paradox has also installed equipment demonstrating the technology at NEC Italy, where interested customers are given the opportunity to see the potential of the PE.AMI solution.
