VIZIO Unveils Media Shifting With "VIA Plus" Platform

In conjunction with this week’s CE Show VIZIO as launch a new set of Smartphone, Tablet, HDTV and Blu-ray players as part of it’s VIA Plus range. According to VIZIO, the VIA Plus devices will unify user experience from the big screen to mobile device; to provide the very best in HD entertainment experience. With the latest in communication technology users will be able to transition their digital content across the different types of devices.

The VIA Plus HDTVs  and Blu-ray (unlike the XVT range)willtablet incorporate the recently released Google TV with the option to access online media services. Using its accompanied Bluetooth QWERTY universal remote with touchpad you can access streaming movies and TV shows from Amazon and Netflix, listen to music via Rhapsody, display your personal photos from Flikr and update your Facebook and Twitter feeds.

The VIZIO VIA Phone features a 1 GHz processor, 4" high-resolution capacitive touch screen, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion and HDMI output with HD video playback.  It also features a front-facing camera for video chats and a 5 megapixel rear camera for photos and HD video capture.

The VIZIO VIA Tablet also features a 1 GHz processor, with an 8" high-resolution capacitive touch screen, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, a MicroSD card slot for additional memory expansion, HDMI output with HD video playback, and a front-facing camera for video chats. It also boasts a unique three-speaker design for stereo audio in both portrait and landscape modes.

phoneBoth the VIA Tablet and Smartphone includes a built-in IR blaster with universal remote control app for quick access to the entire home theater or nearly any other CE device in the home. Both run on the Android Platform, which will also allow users to access thousands of apps through Android Market.
