Sonic Solutions Adds DTS Sound Quality to RoxioNow Platform

Sonic Solutions has partnered with DTS to bring DTS' highly regarded multi-channel audio format to the RoxioNow premium entertainment platform. The collaboration on the recently release RoxioNow Platform will enable Sonic's retail partners, Best Buy, Blockbuster and others, to significantly enhance the viewing experience for customers for premium movies, next-day television shows, and independent films with richly immersive 5.1-channel surround sound.

Advance Digital TV Offers Caller ID on TV and Online DVR Manager

Communication company SureWest announced today that they have rolled out an Online DVR Manager and Caller ID on TV service for Advance Digital TV. This was a follow up service to the launch of Advanced Digital TV on SureWest's fiber-to-the-home and copper networks to over 205,000 customers in January of this year. The new Caller ID on TV and Online DVR Manager service is available no additional cost to qualifying customers.

Western Digital Adds Netflix and MediaFly to WD TV Live Media Player

Western Digital has release its latest digital home solutions in WD TV Live.  The new release feature top on-demand entertainment services from Netflix and MediaFly among others. Through the new WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player you can browse the latest movies and videos from Netflix and add them to your Instant Queue then stream them to connected TV. With MediaFly you have access to daily podcasts from CNN, ESPN, MTV and NBC.

Broadcom Upgrade its Bluetooth for Windows Software

Bluetooth has upgraded it’s BTW (Bluetooth for Windows) to version 6.4.  This new version it to facilitate better interaction between Bluetooth devices – that are based on the windows operating system, and to help drive more advance Bluetooth functionality into a wider collection of consumer connectivity applications.  Included in BTW 6.4 are two new profiles that extend Bluetooth enabled devices to communicate with other devices.

For as little as $3 per month DIRECTV customers can have access to DIRECTV Whole-Home DVR service.  The new multi-room service, allows  customers to  have more control over their television viewing experience by being able to share recorded programs on any TV in the home, begin a program in one room and finish it in another, and access DIRECTV's DVR technology on non-DVR HD receivers.

HP Cloud Aware and Web Connected Printer

HP has launched the HP ePrintCenter solutions along with an upgraded version of the HP Photosmart Premium part of its popular e-All-in-One web connected printers. This new model has all the features of the previous models plus a host of user solutions to make it easy to print you documents and photos from anywhere. This new HP Photosmart, according to HP is Cloud aware, meaning you can access documents on the web and you can access the printer from the web and print. It is the first printer that is able to talk to Google cloud without going through a PC.

T-Mobile UK ICD Vega 15-inch Tegra Android Tablet

The ICD (innovative Converged Devices) 15-inch Vega – touchscreen is schedule to launch in the UK this year.  The Android based gadget is to change the way we schedule and manage family appointments and keep in touch with each other.  We were given a sneak preview of it at this year’s CES, according to T-Mobile UK, who is collaborating with ICD to build the Vega; the Vega will be the family hub that will manage all household appointment and calendar events.
