Integra has announced major audio and video upgrades to its DTR-20, '30, '40 and '50 series of THX-Certified home theater receivers. The new DTR-20.3, DTR-30.3, DTR-40.3, and DTR-50.3 offers advanced networking and USB capabilities, which were only available on last year's DTR-40.2 and higher models. Pioneer Releases 3D Blu-ray Players BDP-LX54 and BDP-430

Pioneer has release 3D Blu-ray players (BDP-LX54 and BDP-430) in Australia; the two players offer customers the latest in connectivity, such as HDMI, Ethernet and wireless.  Features include BD-Live, iControlAV app, 1080p High definition picture quality and the ability to convert standard DVDs to near HD quality. China’s BesTV Selects Dolby Digital Plus for HD IPTV Service

BesTV, China's premier HD IPTV live and video-on-demand (VOD) service provider has joined the list of other television service provider to integrate Dolby Laboratories’ Dolby Digital Plus as part of their feature rich HD TV solutions. According to Dolby, BesTV will roll out its Dolby Digital Plus multichannel sound solution in China’s Guangdong Province with other area in the pipeline.

Onkyo Launches DLNA 1.5 and Windows 7 Home Theater Receivers (HT-RC260 and HT-RC270)

Onkyo has release two new HT-RC home theatre receivers (HT-RC260 and HT-RC270). Both models feature the latest in surround sound with a High Definition high performance 7.2-channel via Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs. Bharti Airtel Selected Dolby Digital Plus for DTH Set-top Box

India’s Bharti Airtel has selected Dolby Digital Plus as the surround sound format for its new HD Direct-to-Home service and set-top boxes. According to Dobly Laboratories, Bharti Airtel chose their audio format as part of their plans to offer customers HD content with up to 7.1 channels of surround sound. Read more »

Bose Released New Lifestyle Home Theater Range

Bose has released three new Bose life-style home theater systems (Lifestyle T20, Lifestyle V35 and V25). They are the company’s first system to include an iPod docking station, which connects to a dedicated proprietary input, and to decode Dolby TrueHD and multichannel PCM soundtracks on Blu-ray discs.

Models Lifestyle V35 and V25 are the iPod-docking systems and retails for $3,299 and $2,499, respectively.  The Lifestyle T20 system is $1,999 all models are available at bose.com and will be available to retailer in a few weeks. Read more »

Yamaha Introduced AV Receiver RX-V2065 and Blu-ray Players BD-S1900 & BD-S1065

At last week's CEDIA show in Atlanta Yamaha announced new additions to its range of Blu-ray disc players and Audio Visual Receivers.  Those introduced were the 7.1-channel network AV receiver RX-V2065 and the BD-S1900 and BD-S1065 players. According to Yamaha the Blu-ray player are complements to the RX-V2065 and other AV receivers in the class and to give customers the best in HDTV entertainment experience. Read more »
