Pace announced that they are to acquire Bewan Systems, a specialist in xDSL and cable DOCSIS 3.0 IP connectivity technologies.  According to Pace the deal will not exceed €12.5 million, and is expected to complete the deal in the second quarter of this year.  With this deal Pace is hoping to grow its position in the connected home market place by tapping into Bewan already established relationship with customers in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Within the next few weeks or months the BBC Trust will announce their decision of whether the BBC should go ahead with canvas project.  In the meantime Pace, a Digital TV technology supplier announced that they have released a new set-top box called “Vision+” for BT Vision IPTV customers.
