Aricent Offers LTE Connected Car and Home Services

Aricent said they want to help OEMs to create a range of solutions for the next generation of cars and home appliances.  The company was at this year’s Mobile World Congress to demonstrate their latest LTE powered connected car and connected home solutions and services. With it you can monitor a vehicle’s status and control connected devices at home.

With today’s consumer expecting to be connected while at home or on the road said Aricent.  They want to provide solutions so that manufacturers can meet this demand. Their “LTE Connected Car” offerings enable automotive manufacturers to create enhanced in-vehicle infotainment systems and media platforms.

Through the connected car platform manufacturers can create in-car entertainment systems with the capabilities to download movies, upload pictures while on-the-go and stream up to four video files at the same time. The platform provide vehicle location and status information to programmed emergency contacts.

Aricent said their “LTE connected home solution supports a wide range of standards and certifications including 3gPP, DLNA, UPnP, OpenIPTV, ngConnect and many more.  Manufacturers and service providers leveraging Aricent solution and services will allow users to upgrade to a connected lifestyle. They will be able to stream media and remotely monitor their home and control their home – lighting, appliances and locks.
