MIPS Continues Android For Home With SmartCE Platform

The company has unveiled a new SmartCE (Connected Entertainment) platform. SmartCE is designed to provide a connected experience with integrated support for Home Jinni ConnecTV application, Adobe Flash Platform for TV, Android, Skype, social media and other platforms. Sigma Processor Powers DViCO TVIX Xroid A1 Android Media Player

The TVIX Xroid A1 is DViCO first Android-based Over-the-Top (OTT) media player and is part of the company’s plan to develop an Android-based product line to support the growing Connected Home market. Trident and ARM Collaborate On Set-top Box Platform for Internet TV Services

Trident and ARM have collaborated to develop a new Set-top Box platform that according to both companies offers the best of Web 2.0 and media broadcasting. Built on the ARM powerful Cortex-A Series processors, the new Trident Set-top Box, they said, will allow users to browse the internet, view TV programming, run rich internet applications and share various media content anywhere and anytime.
