Broadcom Launches OTT Media Player and MoCA 2.0 SoC Portfolio

broadcomBroadcom has launched a range of System-on-a-Chip (SoC) solutions for Hybrid TV and Over-the-Top (OTT) Media Players based on their BCM72xx chipset. According to Broadcom the chips features advance capabilities in processing power that will transform existing digital TVs into smart TVs. P&TLuxembourg Selects Netgem's IPTV nCloud with N8000 MediaCenter PVR

Netgem has announced that it has been selected by P&TLuxembourg, Luxembourg's leading telecom operator, to upgrade its service to next-generation IPTV offering. Sigma Designs Launched Ultra Thin Set-Top Box Design

Sigma Designs has unveiled a new Ultra-Thin reference design for the set-top box market. The new solution combines networking and set-top box functionalities in one ultra thin platform.  According to Sigma design it enables set-top box platforms to stream high-definition content from the web, in 1080p resolution via networking through the AC power adapter. Pace Launches HD Set-top Boxes For PayTV Operators

Pace has announced its latest set of High Definition set-top boxes for the connected home. The new set-top boxes are expected to offer pay TV subscribers an advanced viewing experience. DLNA Releases New Interoperability Guidelines
