Car manufacturers using the AT&T Drive, an infotainment platform have been given another feature to offer their customers; this is the option to control and monitor their home from the vehicle’s dashboard.  AT&T has recently announced the integration of AT&T Drive with AT&T Digital Life, its home automation and security platform.

The integration means the Digital Life app can be accessed through the dashboard control panel or voice recognition of a participating connected care, linking customers to their automated and security features including, door looks, lighting, thermostat and the garage door.

The AT&T Drive platform said AT&T, offers automotive, consumer and M2M equipment makers a single carrier to wirelessly enable and connect products across the globe.  Manufacturers such as BMW and General Motors are already using AT&T vehicle infotainment systems.

“The integration of Digital Life into the Drive platform show how combining the car and home, we’re offering the best solution by further mobilizing people’s lives”, said AT&T.

The AT&T Drive Studio in Atlanta offers customers opportunity to experience the integration of both systems, through an interactive demo.
