Yamaha Introduces Home Theater Systems With AirPlay

The AV Division of Yamaha has introduced five low to mid-market home theater systems, called the HTiBs (home-theater-in-a-box). Standard across the range is front panel USB connectivity for other digital media systems and 100W subwoofers. Some models offer network connectivity with AirPlay to extend the flexibility and connectivity Apple base systems plus Yamaha’s CINEMA DSP 3D home theater experiences. They are also eco-friendly with the ability to reduce power consumption by 20 percent.

Packed full of features the HTiBs (YHT-897BL, YHT-797BL, YHT-597BL, YHT-497BL and YHT-397BL) comes with their own compact network AV receivers that offer 5.1 channel surround sound to enhance your listening experience*. There are free Apps for iOS and Android smart phones and tablets to allow for additional control.

With it AirPlay compatibility featuers your are able to be streamed music wirelessly from the latest versions of iTunes stored on Macs, PCs and compatible Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. The systems also deliver music content from Internet radio and DLNA-certified devices.

With the popularity of the Kindle Fire, Yamaha has developed a native app that is now available from the Amazon Appstore as well. The App is design to provide a portrait or landscape mode interface, depending on the device, for easy visibility and use.

Each of the systems are future proof, offering 4K video pass-through from yet-to-be-introduced source components that will deliver content with four times the resolution of 1080p. They also provide 3D video pass-through with Audio Return Channel (ARC).
