Zigbee Smart EnergyIntamac Systems, a specialist in Connected Home services through the web and mobile devices, announced that they have secured a £1million funding to support the development of a range of Zigbee controlled consumer devices.  The new Zigbee devices will be part of the companies Smart Grid power management services and will be managed through Intamac's award-winning web-based Home Manager™ service.

The Intamac Home Manager service provides consumers with a simple interface to which they can monitor and control devices in their homes using the Web or any mobile device.  The Intamac platform has been used to support the deployment of a range of mobile and broadband based value-added services with corporate partners on 3 continents.  It provides major service providers with white label solutions that can be rapidly deployed helping grow ARPU and reduce customer churn.

With a proven track record in delivering security, automation, and telecare services to partners, Intamac is now able to add energy management to provide the most complete whole-home monitoring, management and messaging service.  The recently announced iPhone application allows consumers to remotely monitor and control their homes, track energy usage in real time, and adopt practical services such as the ability to automatically power down devices left on standby when the home is not occupied or the occupants go to bed.

According to Kevin Meagher, the CEO of Intamac Systems, “We are delighted to have secured additional funding to deploy our new generation of online & mobile energy management services. These are a logical extension of our existing home monitoring services. The multi-billion-dollar investment from US & UK governments in the development of smart grid technologies, coupled with increasing demand for energy management from consumers is helping drive real change in the market.  Our platform helps service providers deploy a range of simple, low-cost products and services which exploit their core infrastructure to generate additional revenues”.

Intamac already provides its award winning Web2.0 services to support corporate partners such as British Telecom, Thomson, DSC Tyco and was recently selected by Alcatel Lucent to become a member of the prestigious ngConnect programme.  Intamac will be demonstrating and launching their new services at the World Broadband Forum in Paris on September 7-10 2009.
