Entropic and Zenverge Collaborate on Open Screen Solution

Zenverge is to leverage Entropic’s MoCA 2.0 platform to offer service providers and Open Screen solution. Both companies have announced that they will be collaborating on a MoCA (Multimedia over Coax)-based transcoding appliance reference design that allows service providers give customers the freedom to view personal or Pay-TV content on any consumer electronics (CE) device. Entropic and Intel to Develop First MoCA 2.0 Based Video Gateway

Intel and Entropic Commnications have announced plans to develop the industry first advanced video gateway and client set-top box reference designs.  Both companies will combine they respective technologies, Intel with the Intel Atom CE4200 processor and Entropic's MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) 2.0 solution.  Both companies said the solution will help service providers deliver new services and the emerging category of video gateway applications.Intel said the reference design will offer OEM a seamless upgrade from MoCA 1.1 products to the more powerfull powerful MoCA 2.0 architecture.
