Onwers of the latest Sony 4K Ultra HDTVs are to be given access to the world’s largest library of 4K VOD content via the NanoTech UltraFlix app. Starting with Sony's 2014 range viewers will be able to stream more than 300 hours of 4K quality travel and nature documentaries, including 40 made for IMAX theatrical titles and other genres.

HP has release a wireless PC to TV connector; like the Asus WiCast, the HP Wireless TV Connect allows users to stream wireless 1080p HD multimedia content from your laptop to your TV. The adapters are powered the USB port of the Laptop and simply work by connecting the PC adapter to the Laptop computer and connecting the TV adapter to the HDTV via HDMI, without the need to install any software. Panasonic is releasing a new set of HD 3D VIERA plasma TV in response to consumer request for smaller models for video gaming. The new line of Full HD 3D Plasmas will come from Panasonic’s VIERA GT25 series which will offer a 42-inch (TC-P42G25) and 52-inch (TC-R52G25) screen sizes.
STMicroelectronics as announced that Dish TV, India's largest Direct-To-Home (DTH) company, with 7.5 Million subscribers, latest set-top boxes are powered by STMicroelectronics’ STi5189 and STi7111 System-on-Chip (SoC) solution. The STB (set-top box) decoder ICs embedded in Dish TV set-top boxes are capable of delivering Standard-Definition (SD) and High-Definition (HD) television viewing. The new set-top boxes are currently being rolled out to Dish TV customers throughout India.
