Control4 InfinityEdge Home Control Platform Coming to ISE 2011
The InfinityEdge along with a host of Control4 home control applications are coming to ISE 2011 (Europe's premier electronic systems integration show). The InfinityEdge in-wall touchscreen home automation platform allows you to connect and manage all networked smart devices in your home. Coupled with Control4’s line of management software you can control your lighting, movies, energy, security, temperature, music and more from a wide range of devices in Control4 enabled homes.
Control4 has extended t home automation platform so that you able to do the same thing on a Mac laptop, desktop computer, laptop, iPhone, iPad or tablet as you would from the in-wall control. "Now, whether you turn on your TV, pull out your phone, turn to a touch screen in the kitchen, or power on your laptop in the office, you'll always be in control of your connected home," said Control4 CEO Will West.
The Control4 user interface remains consistent across devices; whether in fixed touch screens which are ideal for locations such as the kitchen or by the front door, or within the user experience of the new apps on third party devices which extend full home automation functionality to the home office, bedroom or even garage.
The new models of EnfinityEdge coming to Integrated Systems Europe next month will offer full Control4 OS 2.0 functionality, which includes new Flash-based user interface and the ability to access and extend Control4 system capabilities with downloaded apps. The new models feature an optional fully-featured intercom capability, this allows customers to monitor rooms and communicate between individual or multiple rooms fitted with InfinityEdge touchscreens.
The InfinityEdges are available in two screen sizes 5-inch and 7-inch fits the same back box to allow for future upgrade. The Control4 My Home iPad app and Control4 My Home iPhone/iPod Touch app are available on iTunes. The Control4 My Home PC/Tablet app will be available at www.control4.com. All apps require a one-time persistent family license or single license and a Control4 system, European pricing for both will be announced at ISE 2011.
