Netgear has collaborated with Intel to launch ‘Push2TV’ in the Middle East. Push2TV is a new adapter that enables Intel Notebook users in the region to display their entire laptop computer screen on their big screen HDTVs. The Push2TV solution also allows users to wirelessly access their media file on a laptop or on another device such as a SAN (Storage Area Network).

Push2TV is only available on selected laptops featuring Intel Wireless Display and powered by the new 2010 Intel Core Processor. The Intel Wireless Display technology captures fully rendered display frames in real-time from the laptop screen and sends the compress video and audio to Push2TV via the Intel my WiFi technology.

“The demand for products that offer exceptional entertainment experience in the home continue to witness a major uptrend, and we see tremendous potential in this segment across the region,” said Netgear Middle East, Sales Manager, Ahmad Zeidan.  Through an easy to use and intuitive interface users will see it as no hassle to configure their Push2TV connection.

The Intel My WiFi is the first commercially available Wi-Fi PAN (Personal Are Network) or Wi-Fi Direct solution, thereby creating a protected short-hop high bandwidth wireless connection between the laptop and the Push2TV adapter. “Our partnership with Intel and the advanced technology of our Push2TV adapter enable us to leverage this potential-laden market, thereby putting us in a leading position to deliver an innovative product that lets customers view and share content on the biggest screen in their homes,” added Zeidan.
