QNAP Launched NMP-1000P Networked Media Player

Like Sony QNAP has released a network multimedia player, called the NMP-1000P Network Media Player, according to QNAP the NMP-1000P is design for audiophiles and AV enthusiasts.  It is capable of delivering full 1080p HD video backed by Dolby and DTS multi-Channel surround sound. IT offers expandable storage and is accessible through wire and wire from a PC, Mac, Linux/UNIX for easy and convenient file sharing.

The NMP-1000P for its size is pack full of features and reminds my of the Xtreamer eTRAYz.  NMP-1000P, has built in access right management, multi user account support, web file management and FTP.

Through the NMP-1000P you can download the latest album cover for your music file.  There is access to thousands of TV shows and stream news, photos, music and and other content from Apple Movie Trailers, Mediafly, SHOUTcast, CNN, Internet radio service, Picasa, Flickr and more.

There is a 3.5inch SATA hard drive slot, for an internal drive of up to 2TB plus USB and eSATA external port for storage expansion.

NMP-1000P features the latest Sigma Designs video/audio decoder that is capable of displaying ultra realistic full HD movies with advanced menu navigation, crystal clear next-generation Dolby and DTS multi-channel surround sound, high-quality lossless music, digital pictures with background music, and other multimedia content.
