Rovi and Catch Media Extend Play Anywhere Cloud Music Services

Catch Media and Rovi have partnered to extend Catch Media digital media offering. Both companies have signed an agreement that will allow Catch Media to integrated Rovi’s entertainment data and technology into catch media’s Play Anywhere entertainment solution platform.  The integration of Rovi solutions into the Catch Media platform is designed to enable users to find information and rich media content about their favourite music and artists in their home media playlists where ever and when ever they want.

The Rovi Music catalogue has over 2 million album releases and 20 million tracks and Rovi Video has more than 3 million TV shows, sports, movies and celebrities. In combination the are a part of a vast Rovi entertainment data library that includes information on music, books, television, sports, movies, games, awards and also includes celebrity biographies, cover art, reviews, rich media and more.

By integrating the Rovi data services with Play Anywhere, users of Play Anywhere will be able to learn more about the different aspect of the music they are listening to, in an easy and seamless way. Through the Rovi Video services Play Anywhere users can access rich media and video, and descriptive album and artist information and images right from their mobile devices.

By combining the two platforms customers of Catch Media’s Music Anywhere services no longer need to carry all their music around with them, because their files can be access on the web.
