The WYPLAY digital home platform has been selected by Belgacom for is next generation of set-top boxes. As one of Europe’s leading service providers, Belgacom has over 1 million IPTV subscribers and operates out of Belgium. In addition to Belgacom, WYPLAY is also able to boast SFR of France as a customer plus partnership that extends to Australia and Africa.
Wyplay has announced plans to demonstrate its Wyplay Studio Design Center at this year’s IPTV World Forum in London. As a connected home solution Wyplay platform is use by some to the world’s leading operators to provide TV services. The Wyplay Studio platform allows broadcaster and telecom operators to delivers high quality end user experiences.
WyPlay and Altech have agreed to collaborate to extend the WyPlay software. WyPlay software so far this year has played and integral part in the roll out of Vodafone and SFR’s digital home gateway solutions in Spain and France. The WyPlay software solution includes a full range of global & local web services, unparalleled connectivity, Over-The-Top web experiences, support for Widgets, and media playback via an intuitive 3D interface.
Vodafone Spain announced that they are planning to launch a connected TV solution called 'Vodafone Internet TV' for its Spanish customers. According to IpTV-news, the service will combine both free-to-air and pay DTT channels (including HD), an intelligent HD PVR, content streaming from the home network via DLNA technology, access to various Internet video services via Widgets, OTT portals and catch-up TV. So far they have selected Wyplay to provide a Hybrid IPTV Box.
