Virgin Mobile (France) has joined the likes of Toshiba and Telekom Slovenia in partnering with Netgem, the connected home solutions provider. In an announcement today Netgem said they have partnered with Virgin Mobile (France), French Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), for the launch of Virgin Box TV.

According to the news, Netgem will provide its hardware and software technologies to enable Virgin Mobile France customers to access its quadruple-play services (broadband, broadcast, fixed-line and mobile telephony). The service is expected to be available in early 2012 on the SFR ADSL network.

Both businesses are excited about the partnership; Virgin Mobile (France), Chief Executive Officer, Pascal Rialland, said "The launch of our new offer is a key milestone in our development,” and thinks Netgem has the experience to help them meet the expectations of its French customers for new entertainment services.

"This new Virgin Mobile quadruple play offering is part of a new dynamic of the French IPTV market. We are thrilled to be involved in this project and to contribute with our knowhow, in partnership with SFR, to the emergence of a new ambitious and innovative player," Christophe Aulnette, Chief Executive Officer of Netgem.
