CES 2011 is building up to be a very exciting show and one not to miss. From what I have seen this year, I think there are some very exciting technologies in the pipeline, especially for the connected home. The connected home has been added as a new area within the show for the first time next year. This is where I think there will be a lot of new solutions.

Westell's HomeCloud Earns CES 2011 Innovations Award

Westell Technologies has been named an International CES 2011 Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its visionary HomeCloud solution and groundbreaking HomeCloud Digital Home Manager (DHM) network appliance.  The broadband products and outside plant telecom specialist’s HomeCloud solution was judged by an independent panel consist of industrial designers, members of the media and engineers.

CES 2011 To Have First Connected Home Appliances TechZone

The Consumer Electronics Association today announced the launch of the Connected Home Appliances TechZone at the 2011 International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. The Connected Home Appliances TechZone, co-sponsored by CEA, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) and The Retail Observer magazine, will feature 10,000 square feet of exhibit space in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for manufacturers of next-generation appliances. The 2011 International CES will be held January 6-9, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
