Savant Introduces Wireless Smart Lighting

Savant is offering home owners more flexibility in managing our lighting, with the introduction of its Wi-Fi smart lighting control system.  SmartLighting can be used as both a standalone lighting control platform or as part of a complete Savant automation system. Each Wi-Fi keypad has its own dimmer that let you manage it individually from your phone app or as part of a larger Savant home control system.

Pioneer Offers New Class-D(3) Amplified AV Receivers

Pioneer has added two new SC AV Receivers (SC-1222 and SC1522) to its range of in-home entertainment systems.  The receivers offer the latest in connectivity with support for Windows7, DLNA and Apple’s Airplayer. Another feature is their ability to offer increase customization to end users and system integrators.  Both models are compatible with home automation systems such as Savant, Crestron and Control4.

Savant systems launches a new line of Apple-based Audio Visual control and distribution platform, called SmartSystems, which consist of eight systems. The new solutions replace the current Rosie and PROTÉGÉ range and include an iTune-based digital media server. Savant File Legal Complaint Against Crestron

Savant Systems, an Apple-based home automation and control system has file a complaint against Crestron, also an residential and commercial building automation and control systems manufacturer,  in a Massachusetts District Court.  The complaint file by Savant claimed that Crestron has unlawfully sought to exclude Savant from the network of dealers who can purchase programmable controllers for residential and commercial automation.
