World's Fastest Entertainment Grade Networking Chip From Gigle
Gigle Semiconductor, the leading developer of "any wire" multimedia home networking solutions, today unveiled the world's fastest and most reliable entertainment-grade networking IC, and announced that lead customer Belkin has selected the device for use in the company's recently announced Gigabit Powerline Networking Adapters. Belkin is using Gigle's GGL541 IC and mediaxtream(TM) technology to give users an ultrafast HD entertainment network through a home's existing electrical wiring.
Node-H has integrated its 3GPP femtocell protocol software on the Percello PRC6000 femtocell SoC (System on a Chip) and shown eight calls running simultaneously. This is the first time that Super-Femtocell performance has been achieved on the PRC6000 using a protocol stack from an independent software vendor.

Microsoft annouced that they have adapted the Microsoft Mediaroom system to work with virtualization, making Mediaroom the first Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platform to offer virtualization support. Mediaroom with virtualization can deliver up to a sixfold reduction in the number of physical servers required to support a full-featured IPTV service, significantly reducing hardware and management costs and speeding time to market for Mediaroom customers by up to three weeks.
