Sony's New S-Frame Digital Photo Frames Offer Video Playback

Remember when Digital Photo Frames first came out, only able to hold a few hundred photos; things have move on in the short time since then. With the increase in microchip performance and the ability to store more data in less space; Sony is now offering us the S-Frame, the latest in its range of Digital Photo Frames. On the new S-Frames you can store photos and play your home videos instead of keeping them on your computer.

The S-Frames features some of Sony’s latest picture quality technologies, such as TruBlack (DPF-XR100) that improve the looks of your digital content. An advanced image processor inside each frame allow it to scale and display content up to 256 megapixels on its 10.2-inch diagonal high-resolution WSVGA LED backlight LCD screen.

The DPF-D830 will be the first to use a rechargeable battery making it and ultra-portable Digital Photo Frame.

Each of the frames has a 2GB internal memory, which allows them to hold thousands of photos (depending on their size).

Pricing and Availability
The S-Frame DPF-XR100, DPF-VR100 and DPF-D830 digital photo frames will be available in November for about $250, $200 and $150, respectively, direct at sonystyle.com.

Also due out next month is S-Frame models (models DPF-A710, DPF-D710, DPF-D810, DPF-D75, DPF-D820, DPF-D1010, DPF-D95, and DPF-D1020).
