Sony Launched Internet TV with Google TV Android Platform

Like Logitech Sony has launched their incarnation of a Google TV solution in Sony Internet TV. Sony has released four models of the television plus on Blu-ray disc player to complement the range. To accompany the TV is a handheld RF QWERTY keyboard for easy browsing and typing. The screen sizes starts at 24-inch for $599.99 to 46-inch for 1,399.99 recommended.

Get BRAVIA Internet Video and Whole Home Content Streaming With Sony SMP-N100

Coming next month is the Sony 'Network Media Player' SMP-N100, a compact media player for BRAVIA  Internet Video and  whole home content streaming.  It is DLNA compliant and Wi-Fi accessible, a complement to your existing Sony appliances and other home entertainment systems. The SMP-N100 can be use to access YouTube, catch-up TV platforms and movies.  Especially for YouTube, you can stream it to your HDTV, and it's all accessed through the XrossMedia Bar on-screen menus or via free apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch and Android-based devices.

With the increase in microchip performance and the ability to store more data in less space; Sony is now offering us the S-Frame, the latest in its range of Digital Photo Frames. On the new S-Frames you can store photos and play your home videos instead of keeping them on your computer.

Sony BDV-HZ970W Blu-ray 3D Digital Home Theater System

Available in the shops this July is the Sony BDV-HZ970W Blu-ray 3D Home Theater Systems. The new BDV-HZ970W features Sony’s new full HD 1080p 5.1 channel; 802.11n USB wireless LAN adapter for access to the BRAVIA Internet Video platform and Qriocity; two HDMI inputs with 3D pass-through, HDMI repeater function, and a universal remote. Owners of iPhone® or iPod® touch devices can control the players using “BD Remote” a free downloadable app from the Apple App store.  Also announced as part of the BDV-HZ970W introduction are three new 3D capable BRAVIA HDTVs (XBR-LX900, XBR-HX909 and KDL-HX800). These are available for pre-sale at the Sony Style stores.

Sony's New 3D BRAVIA HDTVs and Home Theater Systems Released

Sony 3D capable BRAVIA HDTVs introduced at CES this year, are now available for pre-sale at Sony Style stores. Also introduced was the Blu-ray 3D capable home theater system (model BDV-HZ970W) – due out in July.  Sony is also offering a free 3D firmware update for previously released Blu-ray Disc players BDP-S470 and BDP-S570 and Home Theater Systems BDV-E570 and BDV-E770W. The BRAVIA XBR-LX900 HDTV features a built-in 3D sync transmitter and two pair of active shutter glasses out of the box. 3D ready models BRAVIA XBR-HX909 and KDL-HX800 offer the option of adding the 3D sync transmitter and glasses at an additional cost.

This is the year for 3D entertainment and at the front are two of the world’s leading consumer electronics manufacturers, Samsung and Sony.  At the beginning of this year both companies made some major announcements concerning their 3D HDTV and other home entertainment systems.  Sony has grown their BRAVIA range to include the X900 Series and Samsung is offering their most sophisticated 9000 series along with their 3D Blu-ray players.

Sony Launched Sodium One for PlayStation Home

Sony 3D Gaming community received an extra boost last week with the launch of Sodium One, a new and evolving massively multiplayer online (MMO) game space.  The released of Sodium One has increased the PlayStation Home gaming world to offer more than 100 games and 50 spaces. Sodium is the first MMO for PlayStation Home and is available in 3D for the ultimate gaming experience.

Sony Announced the Digital Home PC for Christmas: VAIO L Series

Sony VAIO L SeriesSony Europe has announced its latest PC for the digital home. The new system is base on the VAIO L Series, with premium HD home entertainment, Chic, space-saving all-in-one design, Super-size, high resolution 24” LCD touchscreen for intuitive fingertip control.  The system is due in the shops from the 22nd of October 2009. So put off your Christmas PC purchase until you see the VAIO L Series all-in-one computer.
