Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Funai Electric Co., Ltd has partnered with Sonic Solutions. The partnership will see Roxio CinemaNow movie service being part of a range of connected TVs and Blu-ray Disc Players by Funai.  As part of a worldwide agreement, Sonic's Roxio CinemaNow will enable digital delivery of a vast library of entertainment* to the living room on an assortment of Sylvania, Philips, Magnavox, and Emerson-branded HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc (BD) players, which are all manufactured by Funai.

Seagate last month introduced two new products for home theatres and home networkds, the FreeAgent Theatre and Media Player and the FreeAgent Dockstar.  According to Seagate both devices are to help us manage our home entertainment libraries.  In most homes we store our movies, downloaded videos, music and digital photos on different Medias and in different places.  The FreeAgent Theatre and Media player and FreeAgent Dockstar will help you to access, manage and enjoy these from one central location.

ST&T Uses Intellon’s HomePlug AV-Based INT6400 for HD Media Link System

Intellon Corporation, a leading provider of HomePlug-compatible integrated circuits (ICs) for home networking, networked entertainment, Ethernet-over-Coax (EoC) and smart grid applications, announced that ST&T Electric Corporation, a Taiwan-based broadband solution provider, has integrated Intellon’s newest HomePlug AV chipset, the INT6400, into its new HD Media Link System (Model HDAV 6490). The system moves HD video from source devices to TVs throughout a home using the existing electrical wiring.
