ARCHOS Releases Five Android Tablets

As a follow up to the ARCHOS 7 and ARCHOS 8 Home Tablets, ARCHOS has launch five new Android tablets. The Internet tablets as they are called, consist of the:  wide screen ARCHOS 70 and 100, multi media ARCHOS 43, and the ultra portable ARCHOS 28 and 32.  The new range offers a combination of PC like web-browsing, social networking, games, eBooks and other apps alongside HD video and music in a very slim-line design.

Envisioning a home where every electronic devices are connected was once in the realm of science fiction, and mostly pursue by gadget geeks and science fiction enthusiast. This is changing and camera trickery are becoming a reality, faster than we can imagine. Last month the world’s biggest content provider – Google along with other consumer electronics and software partners (Intel, DISH Network, Adobe, Sony and Logitech) announced Google TV, a platform that promises to change Television and home entertainment as we know it.

Orb Networks Launched MyCast And Orb Live for iPad and Android Phones

Orb networks, a digital media streaming solution company has introduced two software solutions as the answer to the limited storage on portable devices and the limited amount of internet content they can access. Both solutions, the Orb Live for iPad tablet computers and Android phones and MyCast version 2.57 for PCs and Apple Macs, allow you to access stored media on your computer or live streaming content.

T-Mobile UK ICD Vega 15-inch Tegra Android Tablet

The ICD (innovative Converged Devices) 15-inch Vega – touchscreen is schedule to launch in the UK this year.  The Android based gadget is to change the way we schedule and manage family appointments and keep in touch with each other.  We were given a sneak preview of it at this year’s CES, according to T-Mobile UK, who is collaborating with ICD to build the Vega; the Vega will be the family hub that will manage all household appointment and calendar events.

MIPS and SySDsoft Collaborate On 4G Mobile Handset Android Platform

MIPS and SysDSoft have announced that they have made a break through using Android technology. SysDSoft a supplier of mobile WiMAX and LTE embedded software solution for 4G has collaborated with MIPS to develop the industry’s first LTE protocol stack ported to the Android platform. A break through which see MIPS move closer to becoming major player in Android and 4G solutions.

Dell to Launch Android Tablet Streak in the UK and US this Summer

Dell enters Tablet market with ‘Streak’, a new android based tablet. The Streak tablet (see photo below) is due early June in the UK and will be sold exclusively by O2 the mobile phone and mobile network supplier.  It will also be available in US but not until later this summer. We are not told who it the States will be the retailer and Dell is not giving anything away by saying about the price or  if there would be a CDMA, LTE, or WiMAX version (i.e. Verizon, Sprint or Clear) available, so right now it is the usual GSM suspects  AT&T and/or T-Mobile.

Toshiba Reveals Windows and Google Android Tablet: Slate

The General Manger of digital products at Toshiba - Jeff Barney, said the company is planning to launch a tablet PC called “Slate”. Currently Toshiba is looking at a veriety of form factors, including a 10-inch dual-screen with Microsoft Windows. In addition to Microsoft Windows 7 there will be a Google mobile Android operating system.

T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide with Google Android

T-Mobile US is to release its second Android Mobile phone next month (June). The myTouch 3G Slide – as it is called, is an upgrade to the myTouch 3G released last year. The myTouch 3G Slide offers more typing space with a slide QWERTY us who rather a physical button to press than the on screen touch on the myTouch 3G. Also upgraded is the camera which has a 5-magapixel for better resolution.
