The Smart Speaker List for Christmas 2017

It is no joke when we said the home has become a fierce battle ground for connected technologies, and 2017 is the year of the smart speaker.  Already this year most of the well known brands have announced dates for release or plans to develop their own smart speaker solution.  Therefore, I can see a smart speaker being high on the shopping list for Christmas 2017.  Underneath the elegant and smooth designs will be one of four voice control systems Apple Siri, Google Assist, Microsoft's Cortana or Amazon Alexa. Lenovo K91 Smart TV Offers DTS Sound Quality

Lenovo has decided to launch its first smart TV in China with the support from DTS. The new Lenovo 55-inch K91 smart TV features DTS 2.0 + Digital Out technology and the latest Android operating system,  allowing consumers to access their favorite songs and videos, share files between connected devices, and control the TV via their tablet and smartphone.

Lenovo Creates Digital home and Mobile Internet Business Unit

Lenovo has announced the creation of a separate business unit that will cater for the Digital home and Mobile internet solutions. The new unit is called the Mobile Internet and Digital Dome division, and will also responsible for newly formed categories such as smart TV,  cloud computing  and the digital home, as well as the applications and services that will run on the devices.

Lenovo’s LePad Android Tablet Coming

Lenovo has announced that they will be joining the list of android tablet supplier as early as next year, when they release the LePad Android Tablet.  According to the company the LePad will debut in the US early next year possible after the CE Show in Las Vegas. The company did not say how much it The Lenovo LePad Android tablet will cost but did say it will initially run on Google Android mobile OS – version unknown, with the possibility of moving to Google Chrome OS later.  When release the LePad will go head to head with the likes of the Asus Eee Pad, ViewSonic Viewpad and others.
