IBM Offers Smart Cloud Solutions to Connected Home Market

IBM is showing its interest in the connected home by developing a host of cloud services and solutions for the connected home market.  At this year’s IFA show in Germany they showcased prototypes of different cloud solutions and services that they can give to connected device manufacturers and related services providers. They said there is a lot to gain from using a common services delivery platform based on industry standards.

All three drive families come in a variety of capacities and offer USB 3.0 connectivity, the latest and fastest USB connection. Also available is the highest industry capacity, which is available at 3TB, in addition to 1 and 2 TB capacities.

Microsoft Ergonomic Arc Touch Mouse Coming This Christmas

The new mouse is called the Arc Touch Mouse, and offers ergonomic flexibility: it flattens or Arc when you want it to and features Microsoft’s touch scroll technology for easy navigation.  The Arc Touch Mouse will not be available until Christmas in the US (pre-order at Amazon.com) and full availability by January 2011. The expected sale Retail price is $69.95 (US).

3view3view and MaxLinear have announced that they are collaborating on the development of a HD Digital TV Recorder, a hybrid IPTV and DVB-T2 set top box for 3view. The new device is to be deployed in the UK, and will enable users to view and record free content on over 50 HD TV channels and IPTV (Internet protocol TV), and will feature an integrated Sky Player and BBC iPlayer allow users to "catch up" on previously broadcasted TV shows on these two networks.
