Perceptive Automation has announced the release of Indigo version 4.1.  According to Perceptive Automation this new version is an update to the company's intelligent home control and automation server for Mac OS X.  The Indigo software is a whole home automation system that can manage your lawn sprinklers, home appliances, lights, thermostats and many more equipment and appliances that can be manage – thereby helping you to save energy and money.

NEC Electronics America, today announced it will highlight the breadth and depth of its smart energy and liquid crystal display (LCD) module offerings at Embedded Systems Conference Boston 2009 (booth #701), September 22-23, at the Hynes Convention Center. The demonstrations will rangefrom smart home, solar and smart metering solutions to emerging LCD technologies such as e-paper, and 2D/3D and light emitting diode (LED) backlit LCD modules.

Belkin Home Base lets anyone within an existing wireless network print to a single, shared printer from anywhere in the home. Attach an external hard drive to one of Home Base's four USB ports to save and share music, pictures, and videos with your family. Home Base will automatically back up each connected computer's files periodically to a connected external hard drive, so you don't have to worry about sudden data loss. With the automatic sharing feature, Home Base can automatically upload your new photos to a Flickr or Picasa account.

Bose has introduced the SoundDock 10 digital music system, delivering audio performance previously unattainable from a one-piece speaker system for iPod. Using advanced engineering and new technologies, the SoundDock 10 system is the premium SoundDock system from Bose, joining the SoundDock Series II system and SoundDock Portable system in the acclaimed product line.

Node-H GmbH has shown its femtocell protocol software delivering sustained high speed data transfer at 10Mbps using off-the-shelf mobile devices. A showcase was presented to key customers at the 2009 Broadband World Forum in Paris. The software was demonstrated on the Percello PRC 6000 platform. See video of the demonstration below.

QNAP Systems expanded their Turbo NAS lineup with the addition of the TS-419P desktop and TS-419U rack-mounted NAS servers. The TS-419P and TS-419U feature 4 hot-swappable SATA hard drives with up to 8TB of total capacity and supports 2.5" or 3.5" hard drives, giving users more flexibility in selecting drives for installation. To help safeguard treasured family memories, photos and music, LG Electronics has introduced a new Network Attached Storage.  LG's Network Attached Storage (NAS) model N2R1 uses a proven system of multiple hard drives used for sharing and replicating data to prevent possible damage or loss. Called RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Discs), this system automatically backs up and restores files for added security in the event of a hardware failure.

Kwikset, announced the availability of its highly-anticipated remote access control solution - SmartCode® with Home Connect Technology. These one-of-a-kind keyless entry electronic locks, developed for interoperability with home automation and security systems, can communicate wirelessly with other devices in the home and deliver a variety of access control options for the utmost in residential security. The lock will also allow you to check door lock status, automatically arm and disarm your security system, and initiate customized scenes upon entrance and exit. The lock offers true remote locking and unlocking features due to its motorized driven deadbolt allowing homeowners to monitor and control their locks using either a Web-enabled device or their home automation system.
