Celeno's OptimizAIR to Power Amino's Connected IPTV Set-Top Boxes
Amino and Celeno are collaborating to develop a new range of whole home wireless networking solutions. Amino’s IPTV Over-the-Top (OTT) solutions is to leverage Celeno’s OptimizAIR to deliver IPTV, multi-room DVR, Over the Top video and Video on Demand (VoD), in high definition wirelessly. The new range is to allow telecom operators to offer a compelling mix of broadcast, on-demand and content from the Internet including social media, gaming and applications.
Broadcom has launched a range of System-on-a-Chip (SoC) solutions for Hybrid TV and Over-the-Top (OTT) Media Players based on their BCM72xx chipset. According to Broadcom the chips features advance capabilities in processing power that will transform existing digital TVs into smart TVs. They have also launched six new MoCA 2.0 based SoC set-top box (STB) and Hybrid IP Gateway solutions.

Motorola was at this year’s SCTE Show in Atlanta to discuss and show their roadmap for the connected home. They talked about DreamGallery, an operator’s SDK (Software Development Kit) and how they are working with Shaw Communications to develop a new guide experience for Shaw’s customers based on DreamGallery. Motorola Mobility also launched the Motorola APX3000, a high density Universal Edge QAM and said they have updated some operator infrastructure systems.
