Yamaha RX-V867 AV Receiver Tops Off Popular Home Theater Series
The RX-V867 is the latest in the 67 series of low to mid-market AV receivers. The RX-V867 is packed with some of the latest in AV connectivity, sound distribution and more. As a mid-market receiver it is up there with Sony, Denon, Onkyo and others in-terms of features such as 3D support, HDMI output and networking capabilities. It is already available online from Yamaha and Yamaha authorized dealers for an estimated price of $899.95.
This month CEDIA show saw the release of some of the world’s best home theatre projectors from Sony, Epson, Mitsubishi and LG Electronics. Sony introduced the company’s first 3D front projector (VPL-VW90ES); Mitsubishi debuts its entry level HC4000 HD home theatre projector; LG Electronics introduced a dual engine single lens full HD 3D projector and Epson, released a total of seven projectors in the PowerLite Pro Cinema range.
In a joint deal with Netflix NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution announced that US Netflix members can now watch a selection of broadcast series from the NBC television network and NBC Universal's popular cable channels. This agreement has widened the choice available to Netflix members for just $8.99 a month. Movies included in the agreement include 30 Rock, The Office and Law & Order: SVU and prior seasons of Psych, Friday Night Lights and more.

Panasonic who earlier this year in partnership with Best Buy released a new range of
EchoStar Technologies, a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation has selected Broadcom BCM7400 satellite set-top box system-on-a-chip solution for its SlingLoaded 922 high definition digital video recorder. The Slingloaded 922 is the world’s first HD DVR to incorporate place shifing technology, the ability to watch home television on other devices such as laptop and Smartphones.
