Bose Released New Lifestyle Home Theater Range

Bose has released three new Bose life-style home theater systems (Lifestyle T20, Lifestyle V35 and V25). They are the company’s first system to include an iPod docking station, which connects to a dedicated proprietary input, and to decode Dolby TrueHD and multichannel PCM soundtracks on Blu-ray discs.

Models Lifestyle V35 and V25 are the iPod-docking systems and retails for $3,299 and $2,499, respectively.  The Lifestyle T20 system is $1,999 all models are available at bose.com and will be available to retailer in a few weeks.

Bang OlufsenLast week Bang & Olufsen launched their BeoVision 8 40-inch Television in the US, for those of us who want a televison  that is affordable and has some of the latest features. The new BeoVision 8 does just that, it combines a technologically advanced home cinema viewing experience with design and functionality. It includes double frame rate technology, also known as 240Hz, with motion compensation and advance contrasting picture quality.

Seagate Adds Netflix Streaming to FreeAgent Theater+ HD Media Player

Seagate has upgraded its popular FreeAgent Theater+ HD Media Player to include streaming.  Owners of FreeAgent Theater+ HD Media Player with membership on Netflix can now download/stream content straight from Netflix, to a connected television.  The upgrade is available as free firmware download to existing FreeAgent Theater+ HD Media Player owners from Seagate.com.

Zoran Selected RoxioNow for Connected TV Processor

Zoran has selected Sonic Solution RoxioNow entertainment for it new advanced SupraHD TV processor reference design.  The integration of RoxioNow on the SupraHD TV chip is to allow TV manufacturers to make televisions that will integrate into today’s connected homes.  When connected to other devices, televisions using the SupraHD TV processor will be able to stream different digital content to and from their TVs.

Zoran's SupraHD 674 Processor HDTVs Coming to Europe and Australia

Zoran announced that television developed with their SupraHD 675 HDTV processor have start shipping to European and Australian markets, with other countries due next quarter.  The SupraHD 675 processor supports the latest internet connected television for the European and worldwide connected home market, with support for DVB-T, ISDB-T and DMB-T.

CES 2011 To Have First Connected Home Appliances TechZone

The Consumer Electronics Association today announced the launch of the Connected Home Appliances TechZone at the 2011 International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. The Connected Home Appliances TechZone, co-sponsored by CEA, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) and The Retail Observer magazine, will feature 10,000 square feet of exhibit space in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for manufacturers of next-generation appliances. The 2011 International CES will be held January 6-9, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
