MIPS and Yahoo have partnered to develop a platform with Yahoo Widgets already integrated. The agreement is that MIPS will develop an optimised reference platform running the Yahoo Widget Engine for digital TV and set-top box applications. Roku recently added two more devices to its range of media streamers; these were the Roku SD and Roku HD-XR media players. The Roku media players allow you to stream instant entertainment from Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand and MLB.tv. The Roku players come in three different price range $79.99, $99.99, $129.99.
