ST and SoftAtHome Collaborate on HD Set-top Box Chipset

They had previously collaborated on a client server solution that llows Service Providers to stream content to multiple home appliances at the sametime. Now, STMicroelectronics and SoftAtHome have extended their partnersip to develop an Ultra High Definition (UHD) chipset that enables operators to offer enhance viewing experiences via their set-top box.

SoftHome has announced that Swisscom has selected their operating platform for the new Internet-Box home gateway currently rolling out to Swisscom’s residential customers. The Internet-Box is complemented by Swisscom’s new fibre-optic network to offer customers internet speed of up the 1Gbps. The Internet-Box offers the latest in wireless connectivity along with parental control for safe and responsible Internet surfing.

ST and SoftAtHome Collaborate on Content Streaming Solution

ST Microelectronics and SoftAtHome have collaborated to develop a client server solution that allows Service Providers to stream content to multiple devices at the sametime.  The solution is built on ST’s STiH205 and STiH416 chipset integrated with SoftAtHome software platform for management and control using the STiH205.

Etisalat Selected SoftAtHome and Huawei End-to-End IPTV Solution

Etisalat has selected SoftAtHome and Huawei jointly developed turnkey end-to-end IPTV solution. The solution combines SoftAtHome client software platform SoftAtHome Operating Platform (SOP) together with Huawei turnkey end‐to‐end IPTV, OTT and Hybrid video solutions.  The solution is aimed at Operators to help them quickly deploy services for the Digital Home. Etisalat will use it to deploy its new multi-play service ‘eLife’.

Digital Home software provider SoftAtHome, is opening a new office in Dubai to support the current deployment of its technology by Etisalat. As their first subsidiary outside of Europe, SoftAtHome said they want to address the needs of other operators in the region. SoftAtHome and Lantiq have decided to join their respective expertise to develop and integrated platform for advance home gateways.  SoftAtHome has combined its digital home operating platform with Lantiq’s broadband access and home networking technologies. So Far they have created a ChipSet Support Package (CSSP) that enables SoftAtHome Operating Platform (SOP) to rapidly be deployed on the latest XWAY XRX-100 processors.

SoftAtHome, a company created by Orange to help service providers deliver convergent applications for the Digital Home, announced today a partnership with Anevia, a leading supplier of IPTV and Video on Demand (VoD) solutions. Under the partnership the two companies have integrated SoftAtHome Operating Platform running on Set Top Boxes (STB) with Anevia’s Video on Demand (VoD) back-end servers to provide telecommunication companies and service providers with the key components to deploy new video services.
